This Saturday (8th September) sees the return of the St Giles’s Sessions. After a series of performances as part of this year’s Focus Wales Festival the Sessions return with a landmark event to celebrate the launch of the debut album from local duo Golden Fable.
The Duo are: Tim McIver and Rebecca Palin. Their album entitled ‘Star Map’ (available to pre order from amazon now) has already received praise from high places. Jen Long and Huw Stephens have both played them on Radio 1. Gideon Coe and Guy Garvey (who described the band as “magnificent!”) have both played them on 6 Music.
The band will also be appearing at this year’s SWN festival in Cardiff and embarking on a tour with Field Music throughout October.
On the night they will be joined by the amazing Shy and The Fight, Meilir, and James MacGregor. DJ sets will come from BBC Wales presenter (and host of the Crackling Vinyl events) Adam Walton, as well as a rare appearance from local favourites Gallops.
Golden Fable will appear live at St Giles Parish Church, 1 temple row, Wrexham LL13 8LY on Saturday 8th September. Doors Open 7pm.
Tickets cost £10 in advance (£7 concessions).
