mammoth weed wizard bastard albumWrexham’s Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard are set to release a new album on September 30th.

Y Proffywd Dwyll is set to be released via New Heavy Sounds on CD, digitally and also on limited edition vinyl.

You can pre-order the release now from Cargo Records.  If your mouth waters at the thought of the vinyl version you can pick from Cherry red or sea foam green vinyl.

The tracklist for the album is:

  1. Valmasque
  2. Y Proffwyd Dwyll
  3. Gallego
  4. Testudo
  5. Osirian
  6. Cithuula

It was produced by Chris Fielding with Sleeve art designed by the legendary Andy Garside.

For those who can’t wait you can listen to Y Proffwyd Dwyll now on Spotify.

Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard are rapidly winning over fans with their brand of sludgy riff-driven metal.  Metal Hammer also recently posted a stream of lead track ‘Y Proffwyd Dwyll’ from the album on their website.

The band are doing nothing to halt their growing reputation with a recent live date at Cardiff’s The Moon Club and an upcoming appearance at Summer of Love #2 at Undegun in Wrexham (9th-10th September).

To keep up to date in the run up to the release of Y Proffywd Dwyll visit the bands Facebook page.

We’d also recomend having a listen to ‘Nachthexen’ from previous release ‘Noeth Ac Anoeth’ via the band’s bandcamp page.

The track is thirty minutes and forty three seconds of varying levels of druid-doom heavyness (and it is well worth a listen for the uninitiated).
