Your new favourite band…. Gallops!

At the moment there is somewhat of a buzz going on. A buzz about a new band. A new band in Wrexham. A Wrexham band that sounds like no other in these parts. There’s 3 parts to the band; Dave ‘Moz’ Morait, Mark ‘Hucky’ Huckeridge and Paul Maurice. Collectively they call themselves Gallops!
Having received airplay from BBC Radio 1 Wales’ Bethan Elfyn this week, the buzz around Gallops! is starting to make ground. ‘Why?’ I hear you shout…. Well, the music scene in Wrexham is predominantly a-wash with indie-rock bands, which is not entirely a bad position to be in, but everyone likes to come up for some fresh air now and again, and Gallops! have provided just that.
I think you need to hear to believe, with more recordings in the pipeline they only have a couple of tunes to ear orgasm over at the moment, ‘Crutches’ and ‘Lasers’. Visit myspace.com/thegallopsband for a listen.
Catch them on 28th December at The Old Swan.

This is the buzz we want around a local band! I’ll definitely be at the Old Swan gig – hopefully they’ll inspire younger bands to start ‘thinking outside the box’ around here
