“We Hated Each Other!”
Since December 2007 when A59 formed in Wrexham, they have played in the famous Cavern Club and in Central Station, to name but a few venues.
But before the band got together they actually hated each other due to the fact that they were rivals in other local bands. Tom (singer) decided to set up a new band and that’s how they all got together.
In this week’s “Calon Uncut” on Calon FM, the new Community Radio for Wrexham, A59 was interviewed by presenter Steve Dwight.
“Our ambitions are to do the best that we can; Calon FM is our radio debut and ‘Calon Uncut’ is projecting the music to Wrexham. For us this an amazing opportunity!”
The Wrexham Band A59 are just starting out in their musical careers: Darren Jones, 18 years; Tom Edwards, 19 years; Ash Ellis, 17 years; Steffan Burns, 19 years hope to eventually sign a record deal.
Station Managers Nadira Tudor & Oliver Pscherer:
“We want to support the guys in the best way that we possibly can to help them in their future careers.”
