The Scene make the O2 final

Remember me telling you about Wrexham band The Scene getting through to the regional finals of the Live and Unsigned competition? Well, they blitzed the regional’s and are now in the grand final which is taking place at the massive O2 arena in that there London in July.
Live and Unsigned is the biggest original music competition in the UK for unsigned bands and has attracted over 30,000 entries in the past three years. The overall winner of the competition is offered a recording and management contract with Future Music and an investment of up to £30,000 to release their debut single.
A&R and celebrity judges last year included former Sex Pistols Manager Malcolm McLaren (RIP), Dane Bowers and Radio 1’s Annie Nightingale. This year at the judges at the big final will be Radio 1 DJ Greg James, urban DJ Ras Kwame, blast from the past Shola Ama and the total legend that is Noddy Holder.
The winners of 2010 will be thrust into the media spotlight through television, radio and the press and will have the opportunity to tour the UK. The tour involves as many as 100 gigs across the UK including the chance to perform live at some well known festivals. For more info go to www.liveandunsigned.uk.com.
