The Rising Dragons to celebrate World Record Day at HMV

Record store HMV have teamed up with a new organisation, The Rising Dragons, to celebrate World Record Shop Day this coming Saturday (18th April). The event will be marked by acoustic performances from North Wales top bands and solo acts in the Wrexham store on Island Green Shopping precinct.
The day will feature sets from:
The Roseville Band
Mother of Six
Camera
Heal The Last Stand
Trader
Craig Williams
Meilir
The Rising Dragons has been set up to help local musicians who are on the verge of a breakthrough in the music industry with the aim of providing a platform for performers to take their music to audiences and important industry figures across the UK and beyond.
Dave Gray of The Dragons:
“World Record Shop Day is a great opportunity to show people the amazing array of talent on their own doorstep, and we are very pleased to be working with HMV to promote the important contribution record shops can make in the successful development of new music.”

That’s great for the bands involved, but HMV can get lost if they think they’re hijacking record store day (recordstoreday.com) which is for INDEPENDENT record shops ONLY.
