The Rigbys Call It A Day – This Thursday

by Ben Davis on 2 October, 2007 | 1 comment

Its finally happened, our favourite indie-poppers The Rigbys have decided to split up for good. Following a small scare a couple of months ago, tensions within the band have come to breaking point.

There will be one last chance to catch them though – at this Thursday’s We Start Fires + (We Are) Performance gig at Central Station, Wrexham. Doors are 8pm, tickets are £6 (available from Yales Cafe Bar) – you can also pay on the door (£7). Don’t miss out on your last chance to see them in action!

A message from Danny, singer/guitarist of The Rigbys:

“I would just like to say thanks to every one who’s shown an interest in The Rigbys. It’s possibly been the greatest 9 months musically of my life. I’ve personally really enjoyed every second on practise, songwriting and gigging but other members want other things. Maybe you’ll see us somewhere down the line with other bands. But for now, We’re over!”

Peace to The Rigbys.

  1. A massive shame – one of the town’s brightest hopes!
Lets hope they continue with a different name/ lineup.
