The Reads ready with debut offering

Part North Walean and part Cestrian band The Reads have been busy working with the music industry elite whilst recording their debut album ‘Stories from the Border’.
Top producer Jim Spencer, fresh from working with The Charlatans on their latest album took the helm to record The Reads at the Eve Studios in Stockport with a number of tracks featuring string and brass arrangements by Joe Duddell, who took the time out to work with The Reads whilst he was working with Mercury Music Prize winners Elbow on their follow up album.
If that wasn’t enough class for a debut album, it’s been mastered by Frank Arkwright, who cut his ivories recording Pink Floyd and later Gomez, Biffy Clyro and Arcade Fire to name-drop a few! Wow indeed. I, for one, can’t wait to get hold of a copy.
‘Stories from the Border’ will be released at the end of March and to celebrate the occasion, The Reads will be hosting a launch party at Telfords Warehouse on Saturday 26th March. Entry is free before 9pm and the band will be giving away copies of their album on the night. If you can’t wait that long, you can catch then at the Gronant Inn in Prestatyn on Saturday night.
