The Lemonheads’ Evan Dando to play Wrexham

Evan Dando
Evan Dando, the legendary frontman of American alternative rock band The Lemonheads, will be playing at Central Station, Wrexham on Thursday 7 August.

Along with schoolfriend Ben Deily, Dando formed The Lemonheads in Boston USA circa 1986 and achieved cult status after releasing their 1992 album ‘It’s a Shame about Ray’.  They split up in 1997 following Dando’s crack cocaine addiction which saw him lose his voice… and his head. They played their final together gig at Reading Festival.

Following the bands demise, Dando continued with solo material until 2005 when he decided to bring The Lemonheads back, albeit with only himself from the original line-up.  They are set to release their 9th studio album this year.

Tickets for the show are £10 and are available from seetickets.com (link) or in person at Yales Cafe Bar, Wrexham.
