The Emperor Returns…..Little Caesar

by Ben Davis on 23 November, 2007 | 2 comments

The Old Swan in Wrexham witnessed the debut outing of the newly formed Little Caesar. For those not ‘in the know’, Little Caesar are comprised of the ashes of The Eaves – a well established Wrexham indie band who split up earlier this year.

Following the departure of their guitarist, The Eaves decided to hide away from the scene’s spotlight for a few month’s and come up with a new name and new songs.

Featuring Ben on vocals, Brad on guitar/backing vocals, Mike on bass and Stu on drums, they attracted a fairly healthy crowd to the ‘Swan – all in anticipation of what their new songs, and sound would be like.

What did they sound like? Well, not like The Eaves at all. It was more lead riff driven and more up tempo – their last song ‘Repeat’ would not have sounded out of place on a ‘The Music’ album (remember them – the dance/indie troope from Leeds). All in all, a refreshing change, and they left you wanting more. You can catch them at this year’s wrexhammusic.co.uk Christmas Spruce monster gig at Central Station on Thursday 20th December.
