The Bazaar Returns

by Ben Davis on 19 May, 2010 | 0 comments

After the success of the first Central Bazaar earlier in the year, event organizers Suzanne Dempsey and Emma Wilson are excited to announce their next craft fair event on May 29th. Providing a great opportunity for people visiting Wrexham for Bank Holiday weekend the chance to experience some of the town’s creative talents

“The first event was a lot of fun with a really friendly atmosphere and loads of amazing handmades and vintage items.”

Central Bazaar is a modern take on the traditional craft fair offering a variety of craft, vintage, local music and art. Organizers Emma and Suzanne say they are organizing the event to help promote local crafters, artists and bands. The event will give them a platform to sell and showcase their work boosting Wrexham’s creative community, giving everyone involved the opportunity to help promote and inspire each other.

“We already have lots of exciting stalls lined up including jewellery, badges, cakes, vintage clothing, local music, plus many more crafts and gifts”.

With over 15 stands presenting an exciting array of goods and live acoustic sets from local bands it offers the town a new and exciting shopping experience, with the opportunity to snap up unique products that you will not find on the high street. It will be a chance for people to discover new talent from the region as well as pick up something new – from artworks to badges to clothing.

If any musicians or bands would like to sell their wares (CDs, merchandise etc) on the music stall, then you can do so for no fee! Email Emma at craftbazaar@hotmail.co.uk.

This will be the second of what hopes to become a regular event for the town, which will drive the local creative economy and boost the town’s retail offering. Similar events have been a huge success in cities such as Cardiff and Liverpool and will attract visitors from the wider region.

The event takes place at Yales Café Bar in Wrexham on Saturday 29th May 11am -4pm.
