Wrexham 80’s band Terminal play the Oak

Wrexham doesn’t really have a recognised lineage of music royalty who have managed to make the ‘big time’, there’s a handful of bands and musician’s that have done – namely Andy Scott who was the guitarist from The Sweet, dance group K-Klass and of course Guitar George.
One band that were tantalisingly close in the early 80’s were the post-punk band Terminal. Phil Heym, Nigel Peters, Adi and Dave Humphreys released a few singles during their heyday and were also championed by the late great John Peel whom they also recorded a session for. They reformed in 2008 and now only play a handful of shows around the area – a contrast from their 6 shows a week up and down the country for 5 years straight.
Tonight (Friday 28th May 2010) at The Royal Oak on the High Street in Wrexham they are playing a special show which will no doubt attract their throng of faithful fans who after nearly 30 years can still mouth every word to their songs. It’s free entry and starts at 8pm.
