Now deceased… The Djangos

The Django’s

The Django’s have confirmed that they have split up on Monday night. It’s a shame – they were together for about 3 years and have graced many a wrexhammusic.co.uk stage over the years.

I find myself still humming ‘Call the Calvary’ in my head on a regular basis, it’s an anthem and a true testament to their musicial melodic majesty.

Singer and guitarist Roj has left a eulogy on their MySpace page, here’s a snippet:

“We may have bowed out but our sonic adventures are forever immortalised in these songs and the memories of playing them to you good people. Thanks once again, thanks to the people who believed in us, thanks to those who didn’t, maybe you were right? What’s next? Who knows… but watch this space, this may be the end of ‘The Djangos’ but the beginning of something new for each person. The deceased, Djangos”.

Relive the good times at their MySpace page: www.myspace.com/thedjangos.

  1. I’d just like to thank Ben and Wrexhammusic for supporting us, and any people who enjoyed our offerings! We had good times and owe a lot to this site. Exciting times ahead for local talent and it’s awesome to see the likes of Polly and The Roseville doing so well. Viva Wrexham and the local scene :).
