The NME have named Wrexham’s The Roseville Band as one of their featured ‘New & Unsigned’ bands on their website, www.nme.com, as part of their spotlight on the best grass roots talent around.

They describe them as ‘Welsh, Kings of Leon-influenced rock’ and there is a link directly to the bands MySpace page which has helped increase their daily song plays since being listed.

The Roseville Band are playing a number of shows before the year is out:

  • Acoustic Show at Club 147, Llandudno – 23rd November 2008
  • The Redi Nights at Central Station, Wrexham – 28th Novemebr 2008
  • The Dublin Castle in Camden Town, London – 12th December 2008
  • Boxing Day Special at Central Station, Wrexham with Camera, Craig Williams and JKLMNO – 26th December 2008

  1. I saw this in the NME about 2 months ago, have they had another mention ?

  2. Yeah they’re on the website now, were in the magazine a couple of months ago. The section they’re in is a bit odd (you get loads of shit MOR bands lumped in there alongside decent bands), surely if NME wanted to champion them properly then they’d give them a Radar slot? Who knows, maybe that’s next!
