Heal the Last Stand
Heal the Last Stand’s debut album ‘What Love Is…’ is due for release tomorrow (Friday 4th September) on their own record label ‘Everybody Wants Peace’ records.
Without coming across all self-contented and smug, a couple of weeks ago I received a promo copy from the band in order for me to relay these messages to you.
In my opinion, the best way to listen to a new album is whist driving. I’d like to think I do quite a bit of it around the area; to work and back, Liverpool a few times a week, general trips and the like. So, for the past two weeks I’ve been listening to ‘What Love is…’ and for the past two weeks I haven’t needed to change the CD in the player.
It’s glorious. The youngest 3 siblings of the Dickenson clan, Joey, Laura and Stan together with their best friend Thom have created a piece of work crafted with beautiful teeming emotion that echoes sentiments of peace, harmony and life. And harmony is where the group find their strongest alliance. I’ve said this before and I’ll say this again – the album, with its ridiculously beautiful harmonies coupled with its euphoric melodies, will pull you in and keep you totally transfixed like an unsuspecting rabbit in the headlights, from beginning to end.
Personal favourite ‘….And Celebrate’ is the highlight of the album for me but it’s a difficult choice and you need to decide for yourself.
There Album Launch Party is being helt at Yales Cafe Bar in Wrexham tomorrow night (Friday 4th September). The album will be available to those in attendance, at a special discounted price for one night only. The band hopes all their supporters will be able to make it along to celebrate this momentous occasion with them. The doors open at 8pm and Heal the Last Stand will take to the stage at 8.30pm, playing tracks from the album.
