Gallops Triumph in America

Our Gallops have now returned from a successful trip to the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, USA. They played a few shows whilst over there, the most notable being when they were hand-picked to play the ‘New Music in Wales’ showcase event at the British Music Embassy.
By all accounts, they made a biblical impression on the yanks, with a few comments highlighted from the Twitterverse:
“Gallops = Sickest, they owned SXSW” – @theburtonator
“Gallops are kicking our ass” – @beevsmoth
You’ve got to love the American’s. Lest not forget those from old blighty who were on their annual corporate jollies:
“Unstoppable math-rock power, brain melting cobweb removal” – @MOJOmagazine
“All we can say today is, Gallops – incredible” – @RedStripeLager
You can see an archive of what was said here: www.wrexhammusic.co.uk/gallops-sxsw (only for the next few days).
So, with a successful trip to the US firmly under their collective belt, they return to the Albion and get ready to release their second single – this time a double A-side in the shape of Joust and Eukodol on digital format and a strictly limited coloured 7 incher.
To get hold of this 7 inch soon-to-be eBay gold, you’ll have to attend one of their upcoming shows on their new tour, which incidentally kicks off Friday night (25th March) at Central Station in Wrexham. Support will comes from Victorian Hardware, I Am Austin and Obelisks, with doors at 7:30pm and tickets being £6 in advance. Fill your boots.
