Gallops have released their new 7″ single this week on Holy Roar Records and Blood and Biscuits.
The double-sided vinyl featuring their songs ‘Joust’ and ‘Eukodol’ is a limited edition affair with only 500 printed on translucent green and purple plastic. You can also get a t-shirt with a special bundle available from here: .
The release has had some glowing high-praise reviews from the blogosphere, here are some links to just a few:
- thecmuwebsite.com – “They take instrumental rock and breathe a new lease of life into it.”
- clashmusic.com – “Their music reeks of a resolute Futurism, mixing math rock rhythms with mutated 8-bit programming.”
- thewhiteboardproject.tumblr.com – “Gallops are a bit of an odd bunch, but from what they’ve released so far they same to be pretty damn good.”
- sweepingthenation.blogspot.com – “A cymbal-happy metronomic drummer, squelchy electronic pulses and obliquely racing Kraut guitars”
Their next hometown show is on Friday 17th June at the M.Lounge (formerly Frenzi) in Wrexham. The bill also features Cyril Snear and Victorian Hardware.
