Chaos Theory Promotions are set to celebrate 3 Years of shows with their biggest event ever.

Over the last 3 years Chaos Theory Promotions has been constant in bringing the best in Alternative Music to the Wrexham area. To celebrate 3 years of shows, Chaos Theory Promotions presents have lined up 36 Crazyfists, Poison the Well and Gwen Stacey to play Central Station on Thursday 5th March.

Hailing from the remotest part of the US (Anchorage, Alaska) 36 Crazyfists are evidence that there’s a beauty in isolation, a newfound purpose from even the worst of tragedies, and that heavy metal and hard rock music doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom to have power.

Like the Jackie Chan flick from which they take their name, 36 Crazyfists brings an action-packed attack with a smile, injecting an infectious enthusiasm into their unique blend of crushing rhythms and soaring melodies. All of the rage and venom you’d expect is intact, of course, but there’s a depth and dynamic that is too often absent from the style that is inherent to everything 36 Crazyfists is about.

From the band’s beginnings in 1994, they set out to create honest music that draws from many places without sounding like any other band in particular. After their original bass player died in a tragic automobile accident, the band relocated to Portland, Oregon and continued on, ever more determined to make their music heard.

The band are no strangers to UK soil having played Download 2004, 2006 and 2008, toured the UK alongside Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engage, and had countless headline tours and co-headline tours with the likes of Atreyu, Chiodos, 3, Trivium and DevilDriver.

36 Crazyfists have released 4 albums to date through Roadrunner Records, DRT and now Ferret, and feature heavily on the Resident Evil: Apocolypse soundtrack.

Joining 36 Crazyfists are Poison The Well. They have also made the UK quite the home away from home. They have toured the UK with the who’s who from the world of alternative music. Touring with the likes of Killswitch Engage, Gallows and Dillinger Escape Plan, Poison The Well have been regarded as a pivotal band in the hardcore scene and many critics class their debut album ‘The Opposite Of December’ in their Top 10 Hardcore albums of all time! They released their 1st album 10 years ago this year, and have gone to release a further 4 albums through Trustkill/Roadrunner, major label Atlantic and now reside with Ferret.

At the foot of the bill, but by no means making them anyless paramount to the show are Gwen Stacey. Hitting the UK for the 1st time but by the beauty of internet and myspace etc, they already have a fan base here who are eager to see them.

Tickets are £13.50, doors are 7.30pm and over 14’s welcome. Tickets are available from: Yales Café Bar, Wxm – 01978 358780, seetickets.com, ticketline.co.uk – 0870 444 5556. I.D may be required to purchase alcohol.
