On Sunday 3rd May Wrexham indie night ‘Don’t Die Just Yet!‘ will be hosting a Bank Holiday Special featuring a DJ set from musical legend Tim Burgess and new hotly tipped band S.C.U.M.

Heading the bill will be lead singer of The Charlatans and one of the most influential men in music today, Tim Burgess. Tim headlined DDJY!’s Christmas gig and was so impressed by the night that he couldn’t wait to return. The music of the Charlatans has been a big part of many lives in the past 20 years with hits such as ‘One to Another’, ‘North Country Boy’, ‘The Only One I Know’ and many others making Tim Burgess a household name.

Live headliners will be Londoners S.C.U.M who DDJY! will be hosting for the third time in less than a year. Their intense experimental sounds and incredible live shows have made them one of the most talked about new bands in Europe with the likes of NME and Artrocker (where they have twice appeared on the cover) already dubbing them the next big thing. They’re heavily influenced by the likes of Joy Division, Throbbing Gristle and The Birthday Party and have played no small part in influencing the new direction of fellow Londoners, and good friends, The Horrors.

Support on the night is provided by industrial rockers Advert and proceedings are opened by a debut performance from new Wrexham outfit Vaporators. Vaporators are influenced by the likes of My Bloody Valentine, This Heat and Neu! and they are comprised of DDJY! promoters Ross Roberts and Matty Webber. Their shoegaze-infused post-punk has already got them attention from some of the most influential underground clubs in Manchester and London so keep an ear out for more news about this band in the future.

Sunday 3rd May, Central Station, Wrexham. Tickets are £6 adv and are available from Yales Cafe Bar or seetickets.com.
