The King of Cheese does the King of Pop

Wrexham singer-songwriter Danny Gruff and self-proclaimed ‘King of Cheese’ will be taking on his biggest challenge on the 20th November.

Danny will perform Michael Jackson’s hits acoustically as a tribute to the late popstar, this will include songs from the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson’s solo work such as ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’, ‘Beat it’, ‘Billie Jean’ and many more.

Danny has decided to do this to keep people interested in seeing him live, he explains:

“I play alot of gigs in Wrexham and Leeds and I understand that people don’t want to come and see me week in and week out to hear the same material. I wanted to try something different so people don’t lose interest.

Despite the fact I won’t be playing any original songs, I want people to have a good time and appreciate what I’m doing. It’s a hard task but I’m a massive fan of Jackson’s work and I thought it’d be good fun! I’m going to try and create a spectacle for people as well! I’ve got some props/fancy dress, it’s going to be an interesting night”.

The event is taking place on 20th November, in Bradley Cricket Club, Wrexham. Tickets are £5 and are available from Danny Gruff, you can contact via Myspace (myspace.com/dannygruff), email (danny_gruff@hotmail.com) or online, here.

Support will come from ‘Johan Sebastian Mac’ and local Superman Diamond – ‘Rob Roxx’.
