One of the most popular dance nights in Wrexham is to come to a close next week. The last ever party will be held at Wrexham’s Central Station on Friday December 7th.

DJ Mark Barnes began Freak! as a small party in the basement of an old hotel in Chester in 2003 and since then they have played host to some of the most reputable DJs in the land, including; Erol Alkan, Justin Robertson, Timo Maas, Hybrid, Scratch Perverts, Layo & Bushwacka, DJ Touche, Phil Keiran, Alloy Mental, Annie Mac, Jon Carter, The Whip, Mr.C, Tom Middleton, Ashley Beedle, Medicine 8, Adam F, Stanton Warriors, Jo Jo De Freq, Evil 9, Simian Mobile Disco and more.

Some press quotes:

‘This is quite simply one of the best nights in the country, bar none’ – DJ MAG May 2006

‘Having generated a firm following of fans (including Pete Tong himself), Freak events go off like a hundred dodgy Chinese fireworks and have single-handedly put Wrexham on the UK’s clubbing map’ – I-DJ Magazine June 2006.

‘Second Place, Best club in Wales and West region of the UK’ – Mixmag 2006 Dance Music Awards.

‘House Rules Club of the week’ – Pete Tong’s Essential Selection, Radio One.

Established DJ Justin Robertson will be playing the last ever party on Friday 7th December at Central Station, Wrexham.
