The Roseville Band release album

The Roseville Band have finally released their debut album this week. ‘Little Eyes in the Universe‘ is the fruit of 3 years hard graft with over 200 gigs across the UK and Europe and has been released digitally worldwide via iTunes, amazon.com and 7digital.

They’ve been described by the NME as the ‘Welsh Kings of Leon‘ but in my opinion they’re more than just that. They’ve crafted a sound which in itself is far more authentic, complex and interesting than the ‘Leon and thoroughly deserved of an accolade without referencing the Nashville chart botherers.

The album reeks of confidence and well honed musicianship from beginning to end with the likes of the mandolin driven rapture of ‘The Less I Want’ to the anthemic catchiness of previous single ‘Boxer’. It’s been a long wait for a debut but as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait.

NME Radar Tour returns to Wrexham

Last year saw the now incredibly famous La Roux come to Wrexham as part of the national NME Radar Tour. This year it returns to Central Station on Thursday 6th May with Manchester duo ‘Hurts’ headlining and hoping to repeat the same lofty expectations.

A local support band is needed for each of the Radar gigs and the NME personally insisted on having one of our best groups on the bill – Camera.

The infamous NME Radar Tour sees the very best in new and innovative talent tear through 13 towns across April and May, giving music fans the chance to see the hottest acts of tomorrow, today! This time round the top two acts on the bill hail from Manchester – still one of the biggest breeding grounds for music talent in the UK. Hurts and Everything Everything will be representing the hottest new music right now.

The NME have named Wrexham’s The Roseville Band as one of their featured ‘New & Unsigned’ bands on their website, www.nme.com, as part of their spotlight on the best grass roots talent around.

They describe them as ‘Welsh, Kings of Leon-influenced rock’ and there is a link directly to the bands MySpace page which has helped increase their daily song plays since being listed.
