Help Andy Hickie & the Merry Maidens open the Greenman Festival

by Ben Davis on 19 June, 2008 | 4 comments

You can help Andy Hickie & The Merry Maidens’ dream come true by voting for them to open The Greenman Festival which is taking place on 15th, 17th and 17th August in South Wales this year. All you have to do is register on the Greenman Festival website, and you can cast your vote!

Andy Hickie explains:

“The Merry Maidens are a collaboration of good friends from some of the great Wrexham bands; The Roseville Band, Mother of Six, Camera and Heal The Last Stand. We feel we have worked hard at our music over the years and while this collective exists we believe we deserve a slot at this year’s Greenman”.

“It’s been a dream of mine to play at The Greenman Festival since I first went there seven years ago. I’ve unofficially played at the festival the last couple of years, singing around the main fire and entertaining till sunrise. I believe it’s my time to play officially. I am the Greenman! Pretty please vote for us!”
