Goldie Lookin' Chain

On Friday 18 December Goldie Lookin’ Chain will be performing at the Guild Bar in Glyndwr University.

Goldie Lookin Chain first became famous in the summer of 2004, releasing the now legendary Greatest Hits album, which reached no 5 in the UK album chart and spawned four top forty hits. including the number three smash Guns Don’t Kill People, Rappers Do. Then the release of the top twenty album Safe As Fuck, once again littered the charts with a new collection of party anthems including the titanic Your Missus Is A Nutter and the romantically tinged You Knows I Loves You. They have since toured as far afield as Japan and the USA and at a plethora of UK festivals. After a break and then two years in solitary confinement, the band released their brand new album ASBO4LIFE in April of this year.

Goldie Lookin’ Chain hail from Newport, South Wales and produce comedic rap that satirises hip hop, today’s consumer society, the chav culture and life in Newport and southern Wales in general! You may also remember band member Maggot was famous for going on celebrity Big Brother.

They are coming to the Guild as part of their national tour ‘The Office Party Tour’.

Tickets £4 students, £10 public which are available from the Guild Bar, the Print Room in the Students’ Guild and online at www.seetickets.com.
