Atlanta
Steve Dwight with Atlanta

Calon FM Presenter Steve Dwight wasn’t speechless but definitely overwhelmed when he had the pleasant opportunity to interview the new girl group ‘Atlanta’ from Scotland.

With a successful club tour behind them, Atlanta have started their first University tour. On the 21st September they played at Glyndŵr University in Wrexham. Following the gig the girls popped into the Calon FM studios to tell Steve all about their music, their future plans and also a little bit about themselves.

Steve, a native of New Zealand said:

“The girls from ‘Atlanta’ have great personalities, look amazing and have talent to spare…look out for them at the top of the charts very soon!”

Lisa, Julie, Gill, Natalie and Carlyn are getting ready to release their first single, 5 star lover in October. In the Calon FM interview the girls also talked about the stress and excitement of show business, especially because they’re just about to make their first music video.

Station Managers Nadira Tudor & Oliver Pscherer said:

“It’s fantastic that ‘Calon Uncut’ gets more and more colourful with all the different music styles and we would like to encourage everyone to become a part of it. We’ve invited ‘Atlanta’ to visit us again sometime in the near future for a special ‘Calon Uncut’ concert!”

If you are an unsigned band or artist and wish to perform live on “Calon Uncut”, then please email us on info@calonfm.com.

Tune in every Sunday Evening from 8 til 10 to “Calon Uncut” on Wrexham’s new Community Radio Station, Calon FM on 105 FM and online at www.calonfm.com.
